North Shore High School
Class Of 1989
Sabrina Davis
Wow, 19 years have gone by very fast. Since leaving North Shore, I went to college at Tuskegee University (the world class institution founded by Booker T. Washington) in Tuskegee, Alabama. I came back to West Palm Beach after graduation. I am a middle school History teacher at Howell L. Watkins Middle School. I also have a Cosmetology license. I am a professional makeup artist as well. I attended graduate school at Nova Southeastern University. After leaving the halls of H.L.Watkins, I go to Heavenly Styles Salon in Lake Park, to make my clients look oh so glamorous. I also have a part time baking business. I have an array of wonderful cakes that I bake from scratch.
I know, I have too many jobs. I decided a long time ago to earn money from your God-given talents.
I think my most favorite memories from high school was hanging out with my girls, Latonya Royal, Jennifer Race, Elisa Smith, April Stubbs, Eurika Parker, Rosalind Bennett and Katrenia Stephens. Oh, I can't forget my dear friends, Mike Carter, Derek Stubbs and Clayton Neblett. The years of 1985 - 1988 spent at North Shore were some of the best of my life.
I fondly remember those years of being on the greatest cheerleading squads in Palm Beach County. One of my most treasured memories was during the last year of North Shore. I was captain of the cheerleading squad that won an appearance at a National Champoinship competition in Nashville, Tennessee. We had a blast. I wish I could still fit in that blue and gray shirt. Don't laugh, I still look like the same Sabrina, minus the braces. I remember the road trips during basketball season. I remember Willie Dawson and Craig Griffin. I think they got on the bus to crack jokes more than they wanted to play basketball. No one coudl imitate coach Jack Crumity like Willie Dawson.
I distinctly recall a playoff basketball game a Pompano Ely High School. While we were cheering on the sidelines, Sybil Woolfork dropped me on my head in front of a huge crowd of people. The gym got so quiet and all eyes were focused on me. Luckily, I wasn't hurt, but I was embarrased for a minute.
