I didn't get to this nearly as soon as I meant to or should have, but I do want to thank the folks who put together our reunion. It really was a lovely affair for a very reasonable price. I was so heartened to see that we have grown kinder and more gentle with one another and ourselves. Aging has many downsides, but one thing I notice and am grateful for every day is that we become comfortable in our own skin. Warts, bad hair days, and all.

It did come to some of our attention that the folks who put our event on reached into their own pockets to make up for the shortfall of ticket sales. They did not ask me to note this, nor did they tell us this without some prompting. Not all of us can donate again, but to those of us who can, I wanted this known. It doesn't seem right to ask the organizers to foot the extra bill, seeing that they were very responsible about throwing a nice affair, but they did not spend lavishly. So - if you can and when you can, please donate what you can.

Sherri- thanks for the kind words!  Peg, Pat and I really had a good time working on the reunion!  As for the money, yes, we all chipped in (a lot!) to make the event work!  Any donations made from here on out will go towards keeping the website up and for the 55th Reunion.  Glad you had a good time!!

Did you know that you can reach out to your classmates and send them a private message?  The best way to do this is to click on their name (assuming they have signed up on our website) and click on the line Send Private Message.  That way individuals do not have to put their information out there for the world and can reach out to you when they can!

Thanks!  Admin.

Click on  "50th Reunion Photos!" then click on the Reunion file, you will see a button that says Add/Edit, click on that and you should be able to upload your photos. Let me know if that works for you.  They will be posted under your name. You can post to any of the existing files. After they are uploaded an administrator will activate them for you. - Peggy Burgess

It was great to see all the classmates that I did at our recent 50th Class Reunion last weekend. I want to see if there might be some interest among those classmates who attended Highland Elementary for having some kind of reunion get-together, perhaps in the Spring of 2020. Highland is still an active elementary school. Anyone who attended Highland Elementary who is interested please feel free to contact me either at my wife's Facebook Page at "Ruth Pennington Haydon", (I know, I should enter the 21st century and set up a Facebook account) at my email address at or go to the Message Center on the site and send a message. - Jim Haydon
