Waymon 70 - Stewart

Attended Stanton in Whitehouse school district from 1st to 9th grade. After intergration of schools I attended 10th through 12th grade at Whitehouse. I was excited to be the part of the first class to graduate in the then new high school. That facility is now the Junior High School. After high school I gratuated from Tyler Junior college and ETSU Commerce 1974. After working in East for a year I joined the Army 1975 for 4 years active duty. I began working at the Andrews Center in 1979 unti currently. I was appointed CEO in November 2007. I served on the Whitehouse ISD board of trustees from 1990 to 2005. I was deployed to Iraq in November 2005 for a year.

The story that I probably remember most is the class of 1970 was the first to graduate from the new high school. That facility currently serves as the Junior High School. At that time it was a premier for our community.
My last football game against Lindale, we took them lightly and barely won 7 to 6 I think.
