When Sissy Jo, Karen and I decided to go with a young man to Lake Tyler during our lunch break and the clutch went out in his car. If that wasn't bad enough it was mid-term test week and the fear of not getting back to school on time for our next class was hanging over our heads. Thank God during those days people would actually stop and help you and we were so happy to see the "Mrs Bairds" bread truck stop!! The 3 of us girls rode back to school in the bread truck and arrived just in time for our next class and to send help back for our friend who, of course, stayed behind with his car.
Then the stories of the "3 Debbies" dragging Broadway are many and they were sooooooooooo much fun!
