School Story:
I did have a great time during my years at South. Unfortunately, I destroyed a few too many brain cells along the way. The good news is that I met the love of my life there and because of her (and the grace of God) I have become a success. I'm no Bill Gates, but I do have everything I need and many things I want. My theater and music training have served me well in working in the customer service industry. I can now "sing and dance" for my clientèle until they are sick of it and pay me for my services. (It usually doesn't take them too long.) I remember driving my mom's '69 Pontiac Bonneville station wagon (Pre-minivan days) up and over the curb of the SHS parking lot and cruising on the field between the main school facility and what is now Carpenter Stadium. I was somewhat responsible for the need to construct the short little posts all along the east side of the parking lot. That was a fun parking lot to do doughnuts in as I recall, especially before the south end of it was paved for the stadium. When gas was 50 cents a gallon, what else were we supposed to do? Study? No Way!
