Downtown Baghdad about 20 minutes after the 1st time I was shot at. The rotor blade above my left shoulder has a bullet hole in it.

Downtown Baghdad at Sadams parade ground. You might recognize this place from some TV news reports. Talking to the AH-64 Apache pilots that were escorting out mission that day. If we are carrying something important, valuable, or a VIP we get an escort from a gunship. Makes me wish I was back in the Cavalry flying a gunship “OH-58D Warrior” myself. Much more enjoyable mission. Shooting instead of getting shot at is a good thing!!
