I met Doug in 7th grade at Truesdell.  We became friends right away probably because of sports.  I will never forget our senior year when we took a ski trip to Taos NM in Dougs parents station wagon.  I was able to keep in touch for a few years after high school.  I remember him and a couple friends started a power wash business but i lost contact in the 80's.  I was really disapointed i didnt see him at our 30 yr reunion.  Sad to hear his last years had so much pain.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

RIP Doug

I didn't meet Doug until High School. He was truly a nice guy.Not all guys (especially popular ones) are. Doug was. Now, he was a guy, and I'm sure some of his girlfriends at the time might have had differing opinions then. I was just a friend and I have nothing but good (and funny) memories of him. My prayers are for his family who will miss him deeply.

I had known Doug since Rea woodman ,had always considered him a friend even though we didn't hang out much  other than school.Doug was an easy guy to be friends with. The last timeI saw Doug was at the 25 yr reunion. we had a great talk about our past from Rea woodman to South High.Played tennis at Alley park ,swimming there when we were younger ,Osage and Truesdell rec. centers ,basketball team in seventh grade.I was looking forward to seeing Doug at the thirty yr. but didn't see him. When I heard of Doug's death it really bothered me.,I had known him for so long and shared a lot of laughs and just fond memories of being kids and growing up.Doug was a great guy and will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to you Doug may you rest in peace!

I have known Doug since grade school he was always a very nice person. I went to Doug when he was at Food 4 Less on 21st & Amidon and asked him if I could get a part time job . I told him I had 5 kids and my sons had asthma really bad and were in the hospital a lot. I told him I was a mom and if I was needed I would put them first. He gave me a job and he had faith in me . He had a Big Heart . Rest in Peace my friend.  God Bless You & Your Family . It took me a while but I did it. Sincerely Teresa

Doug was good in my book.the last time we talked was at some place on the edge of old town. I think it was our 20th reunion which David Moore conned me into attending in flip flops and a tank top. Doug walked up to me and started a conversation. I was a little nervous and David was off somewhere. Everyone else was dressed...uh...well not in flip flops and a tank top lol. I thought he sensed I felt out of place. It was a nice gesture as we were never close friends. I am sorry he passed so young~

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Doug did this for me.
