Attended Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa, then transferred to Wichita State and graduated in 1972 with a a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance. Moved to Houston briefly in the ‘70’s, hated it, moved back home to Wichita, figured out I needed a real job, and enrolled in nursing school at WSU in 1978. I worked at Wesley from 1977 until 1992, as an RN in Surgical Intensive Care. I bought a house in Riverside and lived there until 1992. In my 30’s, I spent a lot of time doing adventures like mountain climbing, long distance bike tours in Colorado, and lots of long bike rides outside of Wichita.

In 1992, I married the love of my life, Larry, after a three month courtship, and moved back to Houston where he was employed. I worked as an RN in day surgery at St. John Hospital from 1992 until I retired in 2014. After 15+ years of the stress of SICU, day surgery was a joy.

In 2016 Larry and I moved to Driftwood, TX, built our dream home, and are enjoying retirement with two big dogs and a cat.
