School Story:
I have 2. I'll never forget going into the bathroom across from Mrs.Browns room with Phil Chirico to have a cigarette between classes. To this day I swear to people that I checked inside the stalls to make sure no teachers were waiting to "snag" us.No sooner did I light up than Mr. "A" popped his head over the side of the stall yelling "got ya' this time Francis!" I swear he must have miraculously bi-located from the front office or something!
Another memory I'll never forget was my first "gig" which was at the school dance opening up for Danny Castonguay's band.We were called "Savage Beast".....no,I'm not joking.Jimmy Bona on lead vocals,Michael Savage on drums,Greg Thresher on bass,Jerry McDonald on rhythm guitar and yours truly on lead guitar. All looking cooler than cool with our shoulder length hair and parachute pants.I still remember our set list:Ides of March/Wrathchild(Iron Maiden)Wasted(Def Leppard)Tush(ZZTop)Children of the Grave(Black Sabbath)Godzilla(Blue Oyster Cult)Snowblind(Black Sabbath)and Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin.I also remember walking home with Joe Dallis because we didn't have a ride.....I thought all rock stars had limos!Good times.....
