Rhonda Shoaf Stroud

It will be fun to reconnect with friends, even though we will be unable to attend the reunion. Moved from CA in 1984 with my husband Dean Stroud and was married for 26 wonderful years; Dean died suddenly on August 5, 2007.

When I left CA, I was court reporting and then changed careers and began working for the City of Temple, Texas (7 years); then began working for a non-profit intergovernmental risk pool (TML-IRP) in Texas doing loss prevention (18 years). Retired in 2010.

Thereafter, continued in missions work oversees and returned home to returned home to marry my wonderful husband Kevin McCarthy. We are involved in jail ministry in both states. Love spending time with Kevin riding bikes, walking, swimming, traveling, and reading.

Goofing off in band and geting yelled at by Luzak (that's what percussionists do--play and goof off).

Marching band, concert band, and jazz band and the many hours of marching and having lots of fun with Maria, Bonita, Coleen, Leilani, Rosemary, Tom, Mitch, Charlene and the rest of the crew.

I'll never forget the three of us (not telling who) participating in the "gong show" in our "big fig" costumes, running away and B. stumbling in her huge costume. I laughed so hard.

Tom Bane always watching out for me and being a protector.

Science class with Dr. Smull; him dancing on top of a table eating a banana; dissecting the huge grasshoppers.

Playing racquetball with Mitch S. every week.

Going to Imperial Beach with Bonita and Charlene.

Running around Disneyland, and the many other places we got to visit.
