Well I've done a few things. I graduated from CAST with Diploma in Business Education, University of the West Indies with a Bachelor's In Accounting, Venezuelan Institute with a Diploma In spanish. Taught at Meadowbrook High, The Queen' School later moved to Westmoreland and taught at Godfrey Stewart High School. Yes the same country school that won Dacosta Cup a few years ago.
Now I work as a Community Development Officer with the Social development Commission. I particpate actively in community work, I find this rather fulfilling. A few of the community stuff i have been involved in include. Serving as Executive Chair for the Westmoreland Parish Organising Committee for World Cup 2007. Executive member of the Westmoreland Football Association, Organiser for the first ever Westmoreland Homecoming 2002 and had the priviledge of inviting to Jamaica the President of Guyana Bharrat Jagdeoto be the Guest Speaker, I now serve as a Director on the Board of the Westmoreland Cooperative Credit Union in the capacity of 2nd Vice President with responsibility for Marketing and Education, and served previously as Asst Secretary...these are a few of the things that keep me busy. For those who remember I was involved in almost everything at school. I said almost because I could not mangage sports at all. I remember trying hard at P.E just to get a grade for my report.
Despite all of this, one of the most rewarding jobs i have is being a mom to my wonderful daughter Sonji Vanessa, whom every say is the splitting image of me? Well that is a little about me since 1983. Tell you more later......

One of my many memories is when Mrs. Lee caught us chatting in a classroom while we should be at devotion. It was Fred Weekly Head Boy, Roy Notice Student Council President myself Deputy head Girl et al. We went to ensure that all students had gone to devotions, it was the day after Fred's Class went on a trip and so there was so much to tell about the fun they had, so we walked and talked until we ended up in Room 2 beside the Music room I think. In the middle of our chatter, oblivious to our surroundings, in walked Mrs. Lee. She was so disappointed in us and man were'nt we ashamed. So she summoned us to her office but we simply put Fred on the case and as the buddi ng lawyer he was at the time and knowing how he could charm hisway out of any situation we allowed him to talk Madam Prin into giving us a very light sentence. I couldn't say a word because as her neice who lived in her house how could I be caught in something like this.... but Thanks to Fred Weekly, now practising Law in the UK he saved the day

Another story that had me cracking for days was, I remember when we were in Grade 8. This youth was alledged to be the "Baddest" ting round town. He shall remain nameless... And everybody know seh Mrs Cumberbach no fraid a no body, so di day in question my unamed friend was out of line with Dear old Cumbie. So Mrs Cumberbatch seh " boy come to front of the class." and you know the sound of that. So my yute screw up im face and went up to face Ms cumbie, who proceeded to drape up di yute in front a di class. di poor yute frighten so till couldnt believe the don get drape up. and guess what him was taller than Cumbie so can u imagine the scene? di whole place crack up..of course u know my yute lose him stripe. fi days it was the headline news bad man get drape.... Alvin mi know you remember the story quite well.....
