After graduation I came back to the school and taught Food & Nutrition through the H.E.A.R.T. programme for a couple of months. A year later I went to MBCC where I did a course in Hotel & Resort Mgmt. My career path changed in 1998 when I got a job at NCB (Oxford Rd)Kingston, I worked there for seven years.I came to Florida, went back to school and just completed my Bachelors in Business Administration (Marketing).

The time at William Knibb had been a great experience and I am proud to have been a part of it. I gained my first work experience in the classroom with students I had just left behind. I could hear some of the students saying "she likkle eeh", to be honest I felt timid at first but I gained their trust and respect for those few months I was there and that helped me to be bold. Thanks to Ms. Lewis who thought of me capable of being in her place, Mrs. Lee, Mr. Powell and all the other teachers who stood by me and gave me their support. I felt proud that when I walked in Falmouth students called me Miss Holt. A very great feeling! I remember Dino and Michael (Drapus) they were like two troublemakers in the class. My friends Wendy Grant and Nordian Dean used to hang out seeing that we were the three "shorties", then along with the crew were Allure Simms, Stacion Clarke and Suzette Turner. We couldn't wait to get to Falmouth to get some of Miss Chin hot bread and cheese.Those were the good old days!
