After graduating from Eisenhower Shahab embarked on a long educational journey which started at Tomball College. He earned his Associates of Science in General Sciences and Mathematics from Tomball and moved on to the University of Houston. Even though, Shahab was planning on becoming a dentist, he fell in love with psychology and decided to change routes and completed his Bachelor’s and first Master's in Psychology/ Behavioral Sciences. After the completion of his B.S. and first M.A. he moved on to Texas A&M University-Commerce where he completed his second Master's and PhD in Counseling, specializing in Marriage and Family. After obtaining is Doctorate, he started a series of private practices leading to the building of the Most Comprehensive Private Mental Health Clinic in the entire state of Texas. From there, he continued teaching at graduate (masters and PhD) programs of Texas A&M University-Commerce, University of North Texas-Dallas, and SMU. He's continued to teach for the past 10 years.
a year ago he obtained a couple of book contracts, and began a professional training company which embodies his philosophy of teaching, and that is that the student has to lead the class in order to most effectively learn.
