PEORIA -- Melissa M. Hennessey Mitchell, 34, of Peoria died Monday, May 23, 2005, at 8:10 a.m. as a result of an auto accident on Illinois Route 116, one-fourth mile east of Route 117 in Roanoke Township.

Her body was cremated and there will be no services.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln handled arrangements.

Mrs. Mitchell was a nurse for Staffing Difference in Peoria.

She was born Feb. 5, 1971, in Jacksonville to David and Tecia McDaniel Hennessey. She married Kenneth L. Mitchell in Peoria on May 7, 2003.

She is survived by her husband, of Peoria; her parents, of Lincoln; one son, Johnathon Johnson of Hartsburg; three daughters, Chelsea Johnson and Lori Johnson of Hartsburg and Kelli Carpenter of Armington; one brother, Richard Hennessey of Fort Benning, Ga.; and her maternal grandmother, Della McDaniel of Gillespie.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Memorials may be made to the family for the children's education fund.
