Graduated from USC, worked for Charles Eames (designer) for several years, then as assistant to Ansel Adams (photog) during the 1970's. I changed my name from "Organ" to "Orland" around 1975 (I got tired of the jokes). Since then I've been an independent artist, teacher & writer -- it's all economic levitation, but it suits me well. My books include "Art & Fear", "The View From the Studio Door" and a monograph of my writings & photographs titled "Scenes of Wonder & Curiosity".

John & I were on the MHS Tennis Team back in the days when energy (and time) seemed inexhaustable. It was an enjoyable time on both our lives.
