After High School I went to the University of Utah for 1 year to study Ballet. It was a wonderful dream. Tom Huber and Pam Gaynor talked me into going to San Jose State which I did and graduated with degrees in philosophy and psychology.

I married Steve Lagerlof, had 2 children and was a stay at home mom and eventually returned to graduate school. We divorced and I returned to work in human resources management and part-time counselor at Women's Oppertunity Center at UCI and later at Anew-Day in Grass Valley.

I met my husband Tor in 1993 and in 1996 we were married in Avalon and took off for a 3 year cruise on our sailboat. We got as far as Cartagena, Columbia before sailing back to the USA. We now live in a rural area near Grass Valley/Nevada City. We both are active in our community and church and like to travel. We went to Norway in June for a family event. I love my work as a volunteer counselor at a counseling center in Grass Valley.
We spend time with my mom, kids and, of course, my grandaughters who are all still in southern OC. We have ongoing discussions about moving closer to the family and may do so someday.

One of my memories is the Aquashow - now it seems so corny but back then we took our performances quite seriously. I also remember Nancy Gardner diving out of her bathing suit during one of our practices. That was funny. We both gave up diving.
I also recall my favorite teacher, Mr. Simms separating the boys from the girls while he taught us poetry from a feminine point of view. The girls were never told what the boy's learned.
Mr. Beckett's surfing accident and death was a huge loss for me. He was a math teacher and I babysat for him.
The last 2 years I became serious as a Ballet student and went on to the University of Utah and studied with William Christianson's brother. I was definitely out classed and not going to make it as a professional.
