I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Karen. Although Karen and I were not close friends, I feel a kinship as a classmate. It seems as though it was just yesterday when I saw her perform along with the other Chiefettes. They always did a tremendous job. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. God bless.

One year since Karen was taken from us. Fond High School memories of her remain, with her everlasting smile and love for life. I hope those fond memories will help comfort her family & friends always.

Karen was the first love of my life. She and I were two crazy 10-year-old kids at Forest Hills Elementary, and I'd never seen such a pretty, smart, sweet, funny girl. She activated my heart, and it's going strong to this day. I am so sorry I never got a chance to tell her what she's meant to me. I will try to be the kind, decent, warm person she would have deserved. Farewell, my dear Karen.

Karen and I were friends since elementary school days at Forest Hills; where we were cheerleaders in sixth grade. We kept in touch through the years and she and her mom came to my wedding in 1980. I will always remember her as a kind and warm person whose smile could light up a room; she was truly beautiful inside and out. I am thankful I had the chance to know her.

Just thinking about you today, Karen, as the 35th reunion stampedes toward me. How I wish I could see you there and embrace you for all you've meant to me. I guess life does what it does -- but I don't have to like it! This world needs and misses your beauty.
