My family and I live on an acreage near Marshalltown, Iowa. We have lived here for 5 of the 15 great years of marriage. We enjoy our time together working around the house on home improvement projects, planting Christmas trees, or just playing.
I am still teaching high school special education at BCLUW in Conrad, Iowa. This is my 15th year of teaching and each day brings new decisions and lessons in life. It is kind of like being able to relive high school every year again. Krista, my wife, has taught at BCLUW Elementary School for the past 14 years.She taught second grade for 9 years and currently is in her 5th year as a Kindergarten teacher! I am also in my 12th year as an assistant football coach for the Comets.
Krista and I spend our time, outside of teaching, through coaching our sons in football, basketball, wrestling, baseball, and soccer. Cole, 12 years old, is very much into academics, sports, and how could I forget the desire to drive. He also loves to write to professional sports teams. Clay, 9 years old, is in third grade and is beginning to get the sports itch as he enjoys competing against his brothers. Clay also has a passion for caring for animals and others. Caleb, 6 soon to be 7,is in first grade and is the firecracker of the 3. Caleb loves to run, play sports with his brothers and is quite the artist!
When we aren't coaching or at an event, Krista and I are volunteering for church or various other community organizations/foundations.
