Anna and I had so many great times together! We probably spent half of our high school senior year partying at her grandparents' home on Edisto Island! I remember staying up all night watching movies and making frozen margaritas in her bedroom (she asked for a blender for Christmas - go figure).
Anna always made me laugh with her dry, witty comments. She could find humor in every situation. She was always ready for a "road trip" and she terrified me with her driving! During our junior and senior years at South Aiken High, we logged a lot of miles visiting friends in Columbia, Charleston, Edisto, and Hilton Head. She loved animals - we would party late and she would faithfully rise at 6 AM to feed her beloved horse Posey.
She was such a great person - it is hard to believe that she is gone. She was a dear friend and I think of her often.
My deepest sympathies to her mother Willa, her husband Chris, and her sons Joseph and Thomas.
And, Lisa, when I heard the tragic news about Anna, I thought about her little children, her husband, her family .... and you..... -- Amanda McGee Whittle
