January 6, 1943 - November 28, 2014

Lonna died of natural causes at home in St. Charles, Missouri, her home of 30 years.
She leaves behind many friends, adopted sisters and families that loved her and will miss her.
Her family asked that as a tribute to her you celebrate her life by music, singing, dance and have
a glass of wine for Lonna.  We thought we had more time to be with her.  Live every
day as if it were your last.  Love your family, friends and even those that are hard to love.

Obituary for Lonna (Lonita Lee) Horn Cole

January 6, 1943 - November 28, 2014
Saint Charles, Missouri | Age 71

My Loving Sister - My Friend and (Aunt and Great Aunt Lonna)

Lonna Cole (Lonita Lee Horn) born in Alamosa, CO 6 January 1943 passed away suddenly at home. She was pronounced dead Friday, November 28, 2014. She is survived by her sister Cheryl Hiatt; 3 nieces: Rhonda, Kimberly and Tammy and 3 Great Nephews: Travis, Luca and Giovanni.
Lonna worked for Dan at Daniels and Company in St. Peters, MO for 30 years as a Beautician. She had served 3 generations for some families. Lonna was called "sister" by many and had many friends that loved her, clients that adored and respected her. Lonna's life was large by giving of herself to help others; she was generous above what she could afford. As she never had children, Lonna adopted cats and they were loved and taken care of like a child.

In my last conversation with my sister, Monday, 24 November we laughed about her being the "energizer bunny". She was up and at work 5 or 6 days a week from 6am to 6pm. She loved her profession and she loved her clients and everyone she met. "I never met a man I didn't like"!

In 2005 Lonna created a will and asked the following: No service, cremation and her ashes to be sprinkled by her long time friend on his families property in Southern MO (her adopted family: David and his parents Gloria and David). Gloria called Lonna her sister. Lonna asked that if you wanted to pay tribute to her you would -- "Celebrate her by music, dancing, fond memories and having a glass of wine in her memory" She loved Life and always Lived it to the Fullest No Matter what else was happening. She handled her losses, sickness or bad luck with grace and a positive attitude. Whining was not an option!

Lonna's family believes that God blessed Lonna with his grace and took her quickly with little pain. She had no known heart condition.

Lonna is in God's care; she is gone too soon for all who knew her and loved her.

When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in a manner so that when you die the world cries and you rejoice.

Lonna lives on in the hearts she left behind. "Until We Meet Again" I have spread my wings to fly above, With sorrow I leave the ones I love. I hope your grief will be gentle and brief and soon your hearts will celebrate for me. I've left my pain and earthy needs to enjoy Heavin's Eternity. For one day we will meet again, but until that time is here...remember me and the times we've spent and the Memories that are so dear.
