Teresa Lucero Salas Allred

Born: May 26, 1943, Died: Feb 15, 1990

Teresa's parents were Anita Trujillo Lucero and Alex Lucero.  Teresa was 1 and 1/2 years old when her father was killed, leaving his wife, Anita, and 5 children.  Later her mother married Antonio Gallegos, whom the children remember as their father.  Anita's children and Antonio's 4 children made a family of 9 children.  With the birth of a daughter, Louise, the family grew to 10 children.

Teresa's sisters were Mary Ann, Gladys, Annabelle "Ann" and brother, Alex.  Her half-sister was Louise.  Her step-sisters and brother were Tina, Della, Velma and Valdemur, known as "Baldy."

Teresa was born on her sister, Mary Ann's birthday, so Mary Ann always called Teresa her "little twin."

Teresa attended Alamosa schools and was a member of the Alamosa High School class of 1961.

Teresa married Tony Contreras Salas.  Together they had 2 sons, Jeffery Salas and Anthony Salas and a daughter, Lydia Salas McKenzie..

Teresa worked for Coca-Cola in Salt Lake City, Utah where they made their home.

Teresa died at the age of 46.

She is survived by her husband; her 3 children; her mother; sisters, Mary Ann, Gladys, Anabelle "Anna"; half-sister, Louise; step-sisters, Tina, Della, and Velma; brother, Alex; and step-brother Valdemur, know as "Baldy."  She was also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Alex Lucero and her step-father, Antonio Gallegos.

Teresa Margie Allred, 46, died February 15, 1990 in Salt Lake City.

Born May 26, 1943 in Alamosa, Colorado, daughter of Alex and Anita Trujillo Lucero.  Married Tony Salas in Colorado; later divorced.  Married Darwin Allred in Salt Lake City; later divorced.  Employed by Coca Cola Bottling Co. in Salt Lake City for 12 years.  Active in CCD at Saints Peter and Paul Church in West Valley, 1970-75.  Se was an active bowler.

Survived by sons, Jeffrey Salas and Anthony Salas; daughter, Lydia Salas McKenzie, all of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren; brother, Alex Lucero, Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters, Ann Martinez, Salt Lake City; Gladys Gober, Clearfield; Maryann Naranjo, Grants Pass, Oregon; Louise Maesta, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Tina Vigil, Alamosa, Colo.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10 am at Our Lady of Guadelupe Church, 715 West 300 North.  Vigil service with Rosary will be held Friday, 7 p.m., Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Freday, 6-7 p.m.  Committal, Valley View Memorial Park.
