Lee was born Oct. 2, 1942.  He was divorced.  He has one son, Angelo Lee Sanchez, who lives in Colorado Springs.  Lee's father, Lee Sr., and a brother, Joseph "Joe", are now deceased also.

NEEDLES, Calif. - Lee Sanchez, Jr., a resident of Needles Calif., died June 9, 2001 in Denver. He was a former resident of Alamosa.

He served in the United States National Guard and in the United States Navy. He was a 1980 graduate of Adams State College and was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lee Sanchez, his brothers Joseph and Robert and a sister, Christella Sanchez.

He was preceded in death by his little brother Angel.

The funeral was Tuesday, June 13, at Sacred Heart Church in Denver with burial in the Fort Logan National Cemetery.

Lee will be deeply missed by his family and never forgotten.
