Jeremiah Spence

Since graduation from DCHS, I attended Albany State University (ASU) as an ASU Presidential and Georgia H.O.P.E. Scholar, where I earned the B.S. degree in Biology in 2004. I also completed summer research internships at Virginia Tech and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention during my time @ ASU. Afterward, I worked as a Classroom Teacher at Mitchell-Baker High School in Camilla, GA where I taught biology courses to 10th-12th graders. In May 2008, I earned the Master of Science (M.S.) at Georgia State University in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Currently, I am CEO of the Albany Unified Academy where I offer exam prep and tutoring for students in grades K and beyond.

During the first football game of our freshman year @ Kendrick High, Columbus, a '99 classmate asked me to dispose of a ball of weed she had taken out of her french roll before we [the band) lined up. After she handed it to me, I threw it as far as I could into the woods near the stadium-- but I guess the wind caught it--and it landed on a nearby tree trunk where it just hung there like a fat, black rat sleeping on a tree. Everybody in the band saw it and fell out laughing! lol
