After HHS, I spent two years at Eastern New Mexico University, where for a time I was the school's only physics major. I then moved on for three additional years at the University of Texas. I started there as a physics major, intending to do my graduate work in astrophysics, but my senior year I got married, changed my major to math, and then got my Naval commission and went into the fleet.

After two years and two Mediterranean deployments, I left the Navy and returned to Austin, going back to school and earning an MA in Petroleum Engineering. Since then, I've worked in Oklahoma, Colorado and Kansas as a petroleum reservoir engineer and gas pipelining executive. Beginning in 1989, I ran a one-man petroleum consulting business out of my home for many years.

I don't know if any of you would be interested in this, but since my retirement years ago I have been publishing a blog, with about one post per month since they are often sort of long. The topic is usually about theology, Biblical history and customs, the Ancient Near East in general, and science, especially geology and physics. Hey, Danny, happy birthday! I don't know if you even remember me after all these years, but we were buddies for a while back in grade school at Whittier. Must have been back around grades 2 to 4. I vaguely recall spending a couple nights at your house, but not much more, I'm afraid.
