VHS Veterans Memorial & Scholarship Fund, Inc.

• The VHS Veterans Memorial & Scholarship Fund (VHS VM&SF) Inc. was established in March 2021 by Valley High School Class of 1965 veterans Eli Padilla, Eloy Gomez, and David Wilson.
• The fund is a nonprofit in good standing with the IRS and the State of New Mexico. The Valley High School Veterans Memorial was formally dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 2022, with participation from American Legion Post 69 and VHS Principal Anthony Griego in a ceremony honoring 12 former VHS students who died while serving in the Vietnam and Iraq wars.
• These young men, many of whom were still teenagers and too young to vote, are commemorated through this memorial and the scholarship fund established in their name.

The VHS Veterans Memorial Scholarship has issued three awards to date, valued at $2,000 each, with goals to grow the scholarship amount annually. Donations are fully tax-deductible, and every dollar directly supports the scholarship fund. Please consider making a donation to assure that these 12 young men are never forgotten.
