How sad, Clete was such a nice guy. I have a great Thanksgiving story about Clete. I was living out in Sterling Va from 1993-1998. I hosted a huge Thanksgiving Dinner one year and had ALOT of people there. After dinner, we all started dancing, hooting and hollering and just having a great time. Out of no where, there was a rather stern, loud banging on my front door. It turns out that the local um "authorities" were called and who showed up....Clete!Yep, Loudoun County's finest. Anyway, I was so excited to see him, not expecting the sheriff and all so I invited him in and he was cheerful to everyone and it was so funny to see him all official and stuff. He scolded me a little and said we needed to turn the music down just a tad, told us to have a good time and went on his way. Even in administering the law, he was very kind to say the least. Rest In Peace Clete.

I'm so sad to hear about Cletes passing. He was a great guy and my friend from early on.Austin Lehr
We were buddies for a long time, especially before high school. I will always remember stopping at his house almost daily on the way home at the end of the day. He also had a great set shot from the corner. You will be missed my friend.Chris Charette
I found out about Clete passing when I went to the funeral home to pick up the death certificates for my father whose service was held a few days earlier. On the desk was an envelope just like the one my father’s papers were in and the name on it was unmistakable. He will be missed…
