Comments:

Was only at FHHS for junior and senior year, so I didn't know a lot of people. Being shy and hiding out mostly in the drama hall probably didn't help.

My husband is retired military, so we finally have settled in Virginia for good. It's nice to have my own home and live out in the country.

I have three wonderful adult children, and two beautiful grandchildren. I work part time in a vet clinic and spend the rest of my time in my art studio creating a variety of projects from etched glass to paintings.

I wrote a dog training book called "In Delilah's Eyes: Dog Training from a Dog's Perspective." It's a fun book written in the voice of a dog so people can see how dog's view the world and learn how to communicate with our dogs to enhance our relationship with our canine companions and train them to live happily in our homes. It is currently sold out and not due for a reprint, but is available for a free pdf download on my website at www.centerhillschool.com

Enjoying life with my hubby finally home--he spent a great deal of his military career away. Life is good, family is great, really can't complain how things have turned out.

School Story:

The funniest thing I remember is painting the background for "Free to Be You and Me." We didn't have any blue paint and no budget, so I painted the sky behind the rainbow orange. I guess one of the English teachers had her students watch the play and asked the question, "What was the significance of the orange sky." People were running up to me after they finished the test to discover the answer! Would have loved to have seen what some of them came up with. I'm sure it wasn't "There wasn't any blue paint."

How often do you get back to Alexandria?

Daughter is in Sterling, so that's the closest I get most of the time.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

Husband was in the military so moved all over and lost track of most people. Thanks to FB, I have reconnected with some.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

Not so shy anymore. No one where I live believes I was ever quiet.

What are your memories of high school (i.e. secret crush, embarrassing moment, funniest thing you did in high school, favorite high school hang out, favorite teachers)?

Painting strange murals on the cafeteria walls.

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at high school?

Since I love the way my life turned out, I don't think I would change a thing as that might change the outcome!

Any words of wisdom?

Enjoy life every day. Don't sweat the small stuff. Smile!

Do you give your permission to the Reunion Committee to download photos from your profile for use in reunion slideshows and/or photo collages?
