Retired as Senior Account Executive after 31 years in commercial printing sales. Author of the book "How to Be the Salesman They Remember," guest lecturer to business and MBA students, served eight elected years on the Graham NC City Council, earned a private pilot license, enjoys teaching Sunday School and now assisting the Board of Elections during election seasons. Enjoys golf with Pam at Hilton Head Island and other locations. Thirteen days after graduating from Maryland in June 1972, began six years as Asst. Sports Information Director at NC State University, then two years as Sports Information Director at East Carolina University. Conducted the Sports Media Seminar summer camp at ECU for high school students. Set aside my vow of poverty in in 1980 to sell printing.

School Story:

New York Mets scout Whitey Stevens recommended me to the baseball coach at Maryland for work in the sports information office. Four years later, earned a degree in Journalism at Maryland in 1972, having worked in sports information office all four years.
