Melba Olivares Smithwick

Married Jerry Smithwick, moved to Corpus Christi, TX and taught school for 32 years. We both retired in 2007 and built our dream home at Indian Hills Subdivision outside of Sandia on Lake Corpus Christi.
1/18/2019: Retirement has been fantastic. Jerry and I have taken cruises to the Eastern and Western Carribean, Alaska and 4 Hawaiian Islands. We spent a week in Honolulu on Waikiki beach, and September of 2018 we went on a 10 day tour of China.
9/20/2019 We finally made it to Paris, France! We spent 8 glorious days. This was the best birthday 9/25, a trip to the Eiffle Tower was the highlight of our trip.

One day as I was at clarinet sectionals, some of the guys in the band decided to move two small cars to the grass between the English and ?? buildings. They carried them. My litte Austin Heely was one of them. Someone has a picture. I hope she reads this and shares the pic. Needless to say, Mr. Taylor caught them by the sweat of their brows, literally.
