Lou, at our age and getting "sometimers", doubt that you will remember me, but I never forgot you. I was a 7th grader and was promoted to Freshmen team. I was catching a lot of resistence and flack from all of the team. You came over and took me under your "protection wing" and the dogs stayed away. That very first day, you advised me not to put my pads on just yet. We walked down the street to the high school and scrimmaged the Varsity! I had the wind knocked out of me when I recovered a fumble and didn't wrap around it....Coaches Euton and Garcia laughing, said "bet that's the last time he doesn't wrap around it!! Another memory I have of you, and maybe a bad one.....the name escapes me, but the boy that got shot dead at Dubose, I always thought that was you. Hope you are doing fine, in Corpus Christi, still working, wife and 2 kids. Appears that you are in Louisiana......develope that cajun accent yet? Really glad to see that you (we) are still around, welcome to our website!!

Happy Birthaday Sharon! They sure seem to come by faster as we get older, or seems that way. I guess the good thing, is that they are still coming and not stopped all together. Hope you enjoy a great past year and the next one even better for you and all of those around you. Feliz Cumpleanos!!

Happy BIrthday Gail, hard to believe that it has been nearly 60 years since we met at Memorial Junior High. Even remember the day you first started wearing braces, and I my "Buddy Holly" glasses, promising not to make fun of each other. Hope you enjoyed a wonderful past year and the next one even better for you and all of those around you. Will always remember you with the fondest of memories.....Feliz Cumpleanos!

David Wylie, 73, was called home to Jesus from his home in Houston, TX on July 19, 2020.
David was proceeded in death by his father and mother, BG and Catherine Wylie, and his sister Darla Farrell. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Christine; children: Kristen (Clay) Burton and David (Nona) Wylie; seven adoring grandchildren: Wylie, Bradley, and Brooks Burton; Charlie, Ben, John, and Margaret Wylie; his sister Debbie (Farris) Richardson; and many other relatives and friends.
David was born on September 3, 1946 in Alice, TX. He graduated in 1968 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. David gave his life to Jesus in 1986, and he was a constant gentleman to all he met. He was passionate about all sports throughout his childhood and adult life….rarely missing a grandchild's sporting event.
His love was fierce. He adored his wife, kids, and grandkids. His legacy will live with us forever. We watched him dedicate his life to Jesus. He was flawed and human but our perfect earthly father. He is gone way too soon, and there is huge hole in our hearts. But... God! The family is at peace knowing he is at rest in heaven.
Memorial services will be held on July 31, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the sanctuary of Second Baptist Church (6400 Woodway Dr, Houston, TX 77057). A link is listed below for live streaming of the ceremony.

Corpus Christi - Bobby C. Lamb passed from this Earth to be with his Lord on July 11, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas at age 75, just days before his birthday on July 15. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Debra; their son, Darren and wife Monica Lamb; three grandsons, Jonathan D, Daniel R, and Braden C. Lamb; niece, Dawn Gutz; brother and sister-in-law Don and Deborah Dunn; nephews, Wade and Clint Dunn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Sharron Annette Lamb and Patricia Denise Lamb Morton. Bobby was born on July 15, 1944 in Alice, Texas to Victor Ray and Doris Fikes Lamb. Life was difficult for the Lamb children after they lost their father to lung cancer when Bobby, the only boy and eldest child, was just 13 years old. He shouldered the extra responsibilities of caring for his family as well as attending school, playing football, and graduating from Alice High School in 1963. He then moved to Corpus Christi and worked for Borden's Milk Co. During this time, he met Debra Dunn, the love of his life, at Pick's Drive In on Water St. and later at Panjo's Pizza Parlor. After dating, they married at Forrest Park Baptist Church on May 1, 1965. He then hired on with Southwestern Bell and in 1965, began a 2-year stint in the Army, specializing in underground communications, so their first anniversary was celebrated in Hawaii. He returned to Southwestern Bell, later AT&T, until retirement in 2006. Bobby was active in his son Darren's school and was instrumental in introducing Soccer to Public schools across Corpus Christi. He enjoyed researching the ancestry of the Dunns and Lambs, often visiting gravesites of relatives for information. He was also an avid runner and member of the Roadrunners for many years, and both he and Deb were members of Gardendale Baptist Church. Viewing will be at Memory Gardens in Corpus Christi on July 24 from 5:45 to 9:00 pm, with a prayer around 6:00 pm. 120 visitors allowed and masks are required due to Covid restrictions. A procession will leave Memory Gardens at 9:30 am on July 25 to Pawnee, Texas where services will begin at 10:30 am and burial will follow at Pawnee Family Cemetery.
