Laura Ann Lane Harrington

I am still living in the Allegan area. I am now a freelance graphic designer from my home office and love what I do! I am 1 year into remission from Lymphoma cancer, and finally feeling better. It has been a long hard road to get here, but I am very optimistic of a positive future outlook! I have 4 more years of remission to go, and then I can say I am a survivor....and I plan on celebrating that day like a new birthday!!

I remember when my family first moved from Detroit to the Allegan area back in the middle of my senior year. It was quite different here for us. It felt like we moved across the other side of the country instead of just the other side of the state! Most kids were leary of us.. we did look different !!(Leather coats and wild hair!!!) But we really weren't that different, and we surely weren't crazy and wild like most kids thought!!! It took a long time to adjust to small town living, but I wouldn't trade it for anything these days!!
