I joined the United States Marine Corps in 1999...

I coached women's tennis at Portage Northern HS in 2007...

I am a part-time fitness instructor at Snap Fitness in Portage, MI and I also work part-time at The Home Depot as a Flooring Specialist...

I have run 7 marathons (including Boston) and many other road races as a member of Kalamazoo Area Runners. In June of 2009, I received Elite status by USA Track & Field and will be travelling to numerous states to compete in half and full marathons against national and international competition. I have begun training to participate in my first Ironman Triathlon next summer...

I am currently attending Kellogg CC where I received my Licensed Practical Nurse Degree this past May. I will graduate with my Associate Degree of Nursing in May '10 with plans of working in critical care...
