After attending PCC and CSULA, I moved to Corona Del Mar for about 7 years. Worked for a newspaper and then had an opportunity to spend 3 years working for a contractor friend on a massive bayfront remodel. Think that Barbara keeps me around since I can build or fix anything. Wanted out of the congestion of Orange County and started looking elsewhere, mainly north. Settled in Chico CA in late 1978. Had a wonderful baby girl, Betsy in 1980. The marriage to Betsy's mom didn't last. Found the absolute love of my life, Barbara in 1988, we married in 1992. Finally using what I learned in school, and worked as an Executive Director for The American Heart Assn. as well as the American Cancer Society. Retired at 62.

Remember the paper drives? Memories of hauling newspapers in an old wagon throughout the neighborhood, tying them up with twine, loading them into the trunk of the family car and hauling them to school where the bundles were stacked by class. Sure hope that Burbank got some decent money for all of that.
