William F. Fox, 45, of Winter Springs, Fla., formerly of Alton, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 1986, at his residence.

He was born in Alton, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Fox of Alton.  He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a mail handler for the post office in Winter Springs.

Besides his parents, surviving are his wife, the former Joan Piazza; a son, William at home; and a daughter, Kari Lynn Pouncey of Altamonte Springs, Fla.
