"GODFREY
Melba Jean Wadlow, 73, died at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.11, 2013, at her residence.
Born Feb. 20, 1940, in Alton, she was the daughter of John and Velma (Bauser) Gaither.
Mrs. Wadlow was a nurse's aide for St. Joseph Hospital and later for St. Anthony's Health Center.
On Jan. 29, 1957, she married Louis Wadlow. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2011."
