Frank Henderson

Frank E. Henderson, 64, formerly of Alton, died at 10:06 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Born Oct. 29, 1940, in Alton, he was the son of Frank H. and Rose T. (Betz) Henderson.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed for many years at Owens-Illinois Glassworks as a forklift operator, and more recently, until the time of his death, he was employed as a clerk at the Schnucks grocery store in Edwardsville. As a child, he was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton, and later at St. Kevin's Catholic Church in Rosewood Heights, and most recently was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Alton Post 1308 and enjoyed fishing, watching Western movies and horseshoe pitching.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Ray Murray of Bethalto and Mary and John Tretter of Edwardsville; several nieces and nephews, other extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Chuck Henderson; and a sister, Patricia Adler.
