Steven O. Jackson, 70, passed away surrounded by family at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Clare Bridge, North Oaks, Minn.

He was born June 20, 1941, in Alton, the son of William and Bernice (Burleson) Jackson.

He is survived by one son, David (Roberta) Jackson, and one daughter, Amy Jackson (Jon Cooper); grandson, Dustin Rian; great-granddaughter, Alaina; five sisters, Janet (Bill) Steinbrueck, Carol Cannavan, Barbara Buckshot, Gail (Al) Woolverton and Claire Jackson, two brothers, Jeff Jackson and Nate (Mary) Jackson; many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty (Talley) Jackson and his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Upper Alton Cemetery.
