Janet S. Lavender

Janet S. Lavender, age 72, of Allardt, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at her home.

Mrs. Lavender was born October 18, 1941 in Alton, IL. She was employed in Configuration Mgmt. for United Space Alliance.

Mrs. Lavender is survived by husband, James A. Lavender of Allardt; daughter, Angela L. Boughner of Cocoa, FL; sons, James A. Lavender, Jr. of Wilson, NC, Larry A. Lavender of Allardt and Terry A. Lavender of Cartersville, GA; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Lavender was preceded in death by father, Albert F. Veeck;  and mother, Georgia T. (Bunse) Veeck.

The family chose cremation.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

Janet died of mesothelioma; her last years were spent in Tennessee. She and her husband moved from Florida after retirement.  They built a beautiful log home and she rode her horse till about six months before her illness. She was my favorite cousin
