Barbara D. Lindsay, 73, passed away at 7:52 pm EDT March 26, 2015 at JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL.

She was born on September 14, 1941 in Alton, IL the daughter of Ralph & Virginia (Ehlers) Dempster.

Barbara married Thomas R. Garvey on October 19, 1962 in Edwardsville and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2000.  She married Donald E. Lindsay I on August 28, 2004 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  He survives.

She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and huge St. Louis Cardinal and St. Louis Rams Fan.  She was also a member of the Retired Legal Secretaries Organization.

She will be missed by her husband, Donald Lindsay I of Alton, her daughter and son-in-law, Sue Ellen & Scott Boschert of Godfrey, two sons and daughters-in-law, Don & Karen Lindsay of Alton, and Todd & Julie Lindsay of Bethalto, and a daughter and son-in –law, Amy & Ricky Helmkamp of Bethalto, seven grandchildren, Seth & Sydney Boschert, Elizabeth & Ellen Lindsay, Lauren Lindsay, and Jansen and Jaxson Helmkamp.

Visitation will be from 9 am until time of Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am Monday March 30, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton with Fr. Jim Walther OMV celebrant.

Inurnment will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
