Hugh M. Tieman

MOUNTAIN VIEW - Hugh Maurice Tieman, 60, of Mountain View died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001.

Born June 2, 1941, in Alton, Ill., he was the son of Gus and Valeria Tieman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired steelworker, carpenter and musician. He was a member of Arbanna Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carol Ann Tieman; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Wooley of Illinois and Melinda Kay Meyer of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Danielle Wooley, Tyler Wooley, Nick Meyer and Ashley Meyer; two sisters, Alma Frohock of Bunker Hill, Ill., and Helen Tieman of Whitehall, Ill.; and three brothers, August Tieman of Lake City, Fla., Richard Tieman of Edwardsville, Ill.; and Jim Tieman of Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Arbanna Baptist Church with Jim Chandler officiating. Local arrangements are by Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View. A private ceremony will be at the Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.

Pallbearers will be Rod Davis, Jim Dodson, Randy Ferguson, Don Norman, Kermit Schofield and Mike Throckmorton.
