Raymond Abel
ALTON - Raymond Abel, 50,died at 8:07 a.m. Tuesday, Aug.22, 1989, at Carlinville Area Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
He worked for Des Moines,Iowa, Roofing Co. 12 years, retiring in 1979.
Born in East Alton, he was the son of Loretta (Maple) Abel of Alton and the late Victor Abel.
Surviving are a son, Charles Abel of Margate, Fla.; his grandmother, Elizabeth Abel of Alton; two sisters, Beverly Bird of Tipton, Iowa, and Peggy Reynolds of Boone, N.C.; and a brother, Victor Abel of Alton.
Two brothers, Kenneth and William Abel, preceded him in death.
