GODFREY - Carolyn J. Davis, 54, died unexpectedly at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, April 6,1996, at her residence.
Born in Alton on Oct 31,1941, she was a daughter of Inza (Orris) Smith of Florida and the late Jack C. Smith.
She was a representative for Illinois Bell for 25 years before retiring.

My memories of Carolyn Smith are from kindergarden at McKinley School in North Alton. Carolyn and I became friends in Mrs. Galleghar's class. Again, I met Carolyn in junior high school at West Jr. We had many good times together. Her parents were always involved with us girls and making sure we did what we were told. She was a good, loving, sharing friend.
