First got to know Pat Staten Galvin at West Jr. High School. We cheerlead together. When we got to Alton High School she was a JV Cheerleader. She was a very sweet pretty girl. We ended up being pretty good friends after high school. Her second husband and my husband were friends and we got to know Pat even better. She passed away with cancer which was devastating to her family. She had a daughter and a son that she loved very much and a second husband that took such good care of her throughout her cancer. I am glad she touched my life.

My first friend from Jr. High. Patty and I met when cheerleaders. A friend through life, which was too short for her.
