Who didn't know Dave Stupprich? The guy with the goofy grin and always laughing about something. A guy that just won your heart with his caring ways. I had Dave in my typewriting class. Ms. Bricker had just started her first year of teaching and I think between Dave and myself we almost had her decide not to teach anymore. Dave just couldn't get his fingers to work on the typewriter and I was the opposite..........my fingers just loved the typewriter. Ms Bricker would give us time tests and poor Dave just couldn't handle the tests. I decided that I would type as fast as I could and give him a sheet and then I would type mine and be done in the 5 minutes that we were given. Well, Dave and I thought it worked but it didn't. Ms Bricker called us both to the front of the room and asked us if we knew the difference between a Pica and an Elite typewriter. Neither one of us knew what she was talking about. We had just started taking typing. Well, believe me there is a difference in print and she knew that I was typing for David because he had a pica typewriter and I had an elite. So finally Dave had to learn how to type and we had to quit having social hour in the back of the room. He was so funny and he will long be remembered by me.
