Beverly Stilwell

Beverly A. Stilwell, 62, died at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 12, 1941, in Tamms, 111., to Paul and Wanda (Griggs) Tinsley.
She married Gerald K. Stilwell on July 11, 1959, in Alton at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she was a member. He survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Darren Smith of Godfrey; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Stilwell of Alton and Nicholas and Debbie Stilwell of Godfrey; nine grandchildren, Eithan (Brandy) Smith, Amber, Lorrie, Shane and Alex Smith, Megan Wimberly, Jessica, Chelsey and Cody Stilwell; one greatgrandchild, Broderick Smith; two sisters and brothers- in-law, Phyllis and Roger Bower of Baton Rouge, La., and Virginia and Gary Davis of Las Vegas; and one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Becky Tinsley Jr. of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wayne Tinsley.

In school, I remember Beverly as being such a small boned person that I thought she would break if someone grabbed her hard. She had a great personality and I really liked her. She was one of my favorite people and I am sorry about her passing.
