Phyllis Dugans
ALTON
Phyllis Ann Dugans, 61, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis County. She was born April 28, 1941, in Alton to Douglas and Clara Lee Wilson. She married Everett M. Wilson, who preceded her in death. She then married Herbert Dugans, who also preceded her in death.
A 1958 graduate of Alton Senior High School, she was a secretary for Family Service and Visiting Nurses in the Essie Robinson Head Start Program for 16 years.
She received her early Christian education at Berea Lutheran Church in Alton and then she united with Trinity Lutheran Church in Alton and later united with Worldwide Church of God at Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel.
Survivors include two sons, Everett M. Wilson Jr. and his wife, Chrissy, and David M. Wilson and his fiancee, Gina Franke, all of Alton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Felicia Helene Wilson and David Hendricks of Memphis, Tenn., and Dana Wilson and Ronald Nail of Alton; six grandchildren, Angelica Hutchison of Memphis, Marlecia, Algenon and Brian Wilson, Raevin and Dane Hutson, all of Alton; a sister, Ozella Hare, and her husband, Dewitt, of Alton; two brothers, Nathaniel Wilson of Kingsville, Texas, and Lloyd Wilson of Los Angeles; her best friend, Faye (Walker) Redditt of Alton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Glorine Hoskins and Edith Crumer.
