Jerry has been my best friend from high school.  He served honorably in the Marines during Viet Nam and retired from a hazardous waste management company in Houston.  After retirement, my wife, Gayle, and I would spend winters at an RV park near where Jerry and his wife, Nancy, lived, playing cards, going to movies, and just generally enjoying life together.  Jerry went by his middle name, Lee, after he and Larry Miller from our class joined the Marines together.  When he worked for the hazardous waste management company, he was the one who decided which hazardous wastes they could properly manage and which ones had to be turned over to a company with different capabilities.  His job earned him the nickname in the company of "Hoover the Disapprover."  Jerry was a good Marine, a good environmentalist, a great husband and a wonderful father.  He and Nancy became like family to us, and we miss him like family.

This man never changed.  We went to Texas and had dinner with Jerry and his lovely wife.  The years pass so quickly but the friends made in school. are never forgotten.  It was so easy ro pick up where we left off as if years hadn't intervened.  The last time we spoke, in Sept., I was to undergo heart surgery.  Jerry was swift in passing along a prayer that calmed me instantly.  There is no doubt in my mind that he is adding his voice to the heavenly choir.  To Nancy, my deepest sympathy to you and your family.  God Bless you all.
