
Ronald B. “Ronnie” Young, 76, Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday UPMC Altoona, following a brief illness.
He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late James C. and Elmira C. (Wentz) Young.
Surviving are three daughters: Rhonda Trexler (Randy), Brenda Riddle (Matthew) and Robin Crowley (James); two sons: Scott Young and Travis Young (Amy); 12 grandchildren: Eric, Jonathan, Luke, and Kira Trexler; Lance and Zachary Bowers; Jessica Schadt, Megan Bell, Ryan Crowley and Scott C. Young Jr., and Evan and Elle Young; a great granddaughter, Summer Bowers; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jim and Francis Young.
Ronnie was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from Norfolk Southern as a machinist.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking.
Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at the funeral home, Pastor John Godissart officiating. Interment will be held at Alto-Reste Park.
