Lois A. ‘Cookie’ Shaffer

June 19, 1942 – July 10, 2023

Lois A. “Cookie” Shaffer, 81, Altoona, died Monday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Helen (Shoenfelt) and Mearle Shaffer Sr. Surviving are a brother, Mearle Shaffer Jr.; two nephews, Bryan Lytle and Steven Lytle; a niece, Sherri Garland; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lynne Black and Mary Lytle; and her partner, Brenda Brantner. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public service. Interment will take place at Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville.
