School Story:
I think this is a coincidence but worth sharing. I began my teaching career at Pleasant Valley Elementary School replacing my first grade teacher, Miss Unverdorben. She had left my grade school, Washington School, when the "open classroom" arrived and moved to Pleasant Valley which had the original classroom format. At the time, there were about 15 elementary schools, but we wound up at the same place! She looked the same as when I had her, and she left me many old teaching supplies including the weaving looms that all her students used to make potholders at Christmas time! (Do you still have yours?) And needless to say everthing was in perfect shape!
In my career, there were several students whom I taught whose parent/parents graduated with me in 71. Some of you I knew from high school; others, I got to know. It was nice seeing everyone again!
